Budget Thuis is the internet arm of a Dutch online-only utilities group (sister brand to Budget Energie). Their model: strip out everything that drives up costs at incumbent providers (no call centres, no paper bills, no physical service points) and pass the savings into the headline rate. The current promo runs €30/month for 14 months on a 2-year contract, a longer window than most rivals. Odido fibre and HollandsNieuwe's cable deal are cheaper at €25/month, but only for 12 months.

HollandsNieuwe internet: half price for the first year

HollandsNieuwe sells internet over the Ziggo cable network, which means it reaches roughly 90% of Dutch addresses without a technician visit or drilling. From 6 October to 2 November 2026 new customers get 50% off for the first 12 months on a 2-year contract: €17,50/month at 100 Mbit/s (normally €35) or €22,50 at 1 Gbit/s (normally €45), with TV via the app included free. On a 1-year contract the discount now covers 6 months instead of 8.
That works out to €210 across the first year in our quick comparison table, the lowest here: €90 below Odido (€300) and €150 below Budget Thuis (€360). The catch sits in year 2, when the rate doubles to €35/month at 100 Mbit/s (€45 at 1 Gbit/s), so the saving depends on you switching or renegotiating before month 13.
From 8 September to 5 October 2026 HollandsNieuwe also ran an all-in-one bundle: mobile, internet and TV together for €29,50/month for 12 months on a 2-year contract. Trade-off: Cable upload speeds are far below fibre (50-120 Mbps up versus symmetrical gigabit), so heavy remote workers uploading large files are better served by Youfone or KPN.
